Clinical Case: Small steps, Big change – Dr Ljubomir Mićić, Serbia

In 2011, he started his dental career at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Belgrade. In 2017, he graduated with top honors after completing the six-year curriculum. Throughout his studies, he actively engaged in scientific research, co-authoring several papers across various fields of dentistry including implantology, oral surgery, anesthesiology, oral medicine, and restorative dentistry. Starting from his third year, he expanded his educational journey beyond the university, participating in dental congresses and student education programs worldwide.
As a member of IADS, he initiated volunteer work in September 2016 as a team leader in Mozambique. Following the project’s conclusion, he became an ambassador for the NGO Dentisttheworld and organized a volunteer project in Zanzibar in March 2017. Between September 2016 and March 2017, he delivered over 20 lectures, sharing his volunteer experiences with students globally.
Currently, he continues his global educational endeavors, participating in AACD and EDSC events, and leveraging digital platforms for dental education. He enriched his clinical practice with three years at Zvolanek Dental, a prestigious clinic in the Czech
Republic.
His current clinical focus is on dental prosthetics, emphasizing occlusion, and function using analog and digital protocols (CAD/CAM), specializing in highly aesthetic and minimally invasive restorations such as veneers and facets, as well as prosthetic work on implants. He has completed numerous courses both domestically and internationally in fixed prosthetics, implantology, and bite functionality.
Beyond clinical practice, he organizes training sessions for dentists focusing on minimally invasive restorations and modern protocols in fixed prosthetics. His clinic in Belgrade hosts hands-on courses in digital dentistry and fixed prosthodontics, emphasizing practical training on dental phantoms and live patients. He is also a sought-after lecturer domestically and internationally.
He is currently the owner and a practicing dentist at We Smile dental office in Belgrade, where he and his team deliver beautiful and healthy smiles to patients. He is a devoted husband and father of two daughters, Vera and Nada.
